Dr. Swart has been a licensed Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa since 1996 and a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia since 2015.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Swart spent more than 15 years interning and working in diverse settings, including forensic, hospital, community mental health, schools and post-secondary institutions.

In addition to her extensive clinical work, Dr. Swart has also been involved in teaching and supervising University of British Columbia graduate students studying school and counselling psychology, as well as publishing and presenting on a variety of topics. She continues to enhance her practice through professional workshops, peer supervision groups and individual mentoring sessions.
